Understanding Luminescence and How to Measure Samples

29.08.2022 22:30

Описание: In molecular spectroscopy, where sample volumes can be small and concentration levels low, an analytical chemist is always trying to find ways to enable greater detection limits to meet their analytical challenges. Photoluminescence is one technique that can help when absorption spectroscopy fails to meet the detection limit required in the analysis or the analyte needs to be measured in a complex matrix. Photoluminescence derives its energy from the absorption of light energy in the wavelength ranges of infrared, ultraviolet, or visible light. Photoluminescence is further divided into the categories of fluorescence, chemiluminescence, bio-luminescence, delayed fluorescence and phosphorescence.

This presentation is designed to assist one to understand the measurement and how to eliminate potential interferences. It will discuss how to maximize the instrumental parameters for the maximum results.
