Chromatographic Separation of Biological Macromolecules

15.09.2022 18:00

Описание: Liquid chromatography is divided into categories based on the mechanism of interaction of the analyte with the stationary phase, which leads to separations created through the electrical charge, molecular size, or polarity of the solute. One such kind of solute mixture is proteins and biomolecules, which can be very complex in nature and thus, challenging to isolate and purify.

In this webinar, we will explore the various chromatography techniques used for proteins and peptides, including affinity chromatography (AC), hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC), ion exchange chromatography (IEX), reverse phase chromatography (RPC), and size exclusion chromatography (SEC). Additionally, we will discuss parameters that effect separation due to electric charge, polarity, or molecular size.
